Another Fabulous GALS Quiz Night

The GALS crew are putting on another fabulous quiz night to raise funds for the Out and Loud Choral Festival in April.
GALS have been going strong since 1992 and were the first gay and lesbian choir in New Zealand. GALS have performed at events such as the Big Gay Out and World Aids Day locally and the Gay Games since 1998 internationally.
The Out and Loud Choral Festival will take place here in Auckland at the Town Hall over Easter Weekend (2-4 April) featuring not only GALS but gay and lesbian singers from around Australia and North America. The Out and Loud Festival will future the world premiere of a work for massed choir, organ and piano specially commissioned from David Hamilton for the festival and conducted by Dr Karen Grylls.

World renowned bear artist, Christophe Jannin brings some of his work of the last 3 years (the “Kiwi years”) to Dot's Bar for OurFest and New Zealand Bears Week. Christophe's art has been shown world over, from New York to Paris and everywhere in between including magazines.
The title of the exhibition “Under Influences” is all about the artist’s end of the 19th century great masters influences, especially Czech painter Alphonse Mucha which is now, for more than a year, clearly visible in his work. Not imitation, only inspired! Join Christophe on opening night to hear him talk about his work and ask questions. Each finished piece of art and design prints are for sale.

Leaders and MPs have all attended New Zealand’s biggest gay festival.
Originally started to provide a safe and supportive social environment
for people of diverse sexualities and gender, their families and
friends, the Get it On! Big Gay Out has become a celebration and an
opportunity for the New Zealand AIDS
Foundation (NZAF) to deliver safe sex messaging to around 10,000
attendees.
